This realistic fiction book has a Newberry Medal. It was published in 1963 by Harper Collins Publisher, Inc. It's Like This Cat costs about $4.95. We think you should be at least 7 years old to read this book. It would be difficult for kids younger than this. One main character is named Dave Mitchell. He is tall, skinny, and has brown hair. He and his father disagree on almost everything. If you can relate, and disagree with your parents a lot, you may enjoy this book. There is a cat named Cat. He is gold and dark yellow. Kate, the last main character, is elderly, has gray hair, and LOVES cats. Dave Mitchell was friends with Kate; he even refers to her as "Aunt Kate." Aunt Kate gave him a stray cat; he named him Cat because he knows he's a cat. Find out what happens with Dave and Cat by reading this book. We like it because we like cats, and it has cats in it. We think the book is well written because Emily Neville because we didn't notice ANY mistakes.
