The tittle of this book is James and the Giant peach by Roald Dahl. There are119 pages in theis book. Illustrations by Nancy Ekholm Burkert. It was publicated in 1961. Alfred A Knopp published this book.

I think the genre of this book is realistic fiction. James mom and dad died and he has to live with his aunt's. Every time he does his chores, and if he doesn't do them right, he gets beaten. James wants to run away. He goes on a walk and meets a man that gives him green crystals called crocodile tongues. He tells him to mix a potion and drink it and all his problems will go away. James trips on the way hom and he drops the crystals. Some of the crystals went into the peach and seven insects. The peach starts to grow and grow - so do the insects. James goes in the peach because it had a little chewed hole that looked like a door.

His aunts looked out the window and see the peach growing. She decides to make money by having people pay to look at it and thouch the giant peach. The peach gets so big it falls and rolls over the mean aunts.

James is 7 years old and no parents.

Aunt Sponge is skinny, pointy nosed, mean, practically bald, and tall

Aunt Spiker is large, round nosed, mean, and pink nose.

My opinion is I liked this book because it was adventunous and funny. Read to find out what happens next.
